A few months after the Super 90 went into production, an additional 356 derivative joined the model line up in August 1960, the curious and rare Karmann Hardtop Coupe (also sometimes known as the Notchback) featuring a standard Cabriolet bodyshell with a hard top permanently welded in place.
Very nice ...

Europen Collectibles has some "nice" inventory

Good 356b stats here

“Shopping List” = things I want, or actually have a need for. Oh, forgot the 8” & “9x16 Fuchs. But that goes w/o saying even though we have
3/9s & 4/8s.

Karmann Coupe = cab race car. Linda & I both want a 356 racer, always have, always will! If we could have JUST one Porsche it would be a C cab. But for the entry price we can have several, including driver/DE 356 Coupe.

For what it's worth, a tip on seeking Fuchs at Hershey: Be there when it opens. Or before.

I was looking for a set of 9s last year but the only ones I could find were junk. A seller told me that one of the West Coast wheel resellers was there bright and early, going around checking all the Fuchs with a little gizmo to make sure they were true round and buying up all the good ones. I ended up finding what I wanted on Eboy from a guy in Baltimore.

The guy I bought my 8s and 9s from had another set of 951 8s. This was several month ago, but they may (long shot) still be available. If anyone's interested I could look for his #.

Dave, it was nice meeting you and Linda today. Thanks for letting me and OldTee come over and bother you. Is there an extra room for rent inside your garage, I would love to make it my new home since it's twice the size of my apartment in college . You got a nice setup, your garage and tools are those of a professional shop. It might take a couple days to get my jaw back up to the point where it can close :o ! I spoke with a friend of mine, he has an OEM 2in-2out muffler, some old cookie cutters and some older 15" fuchs. Unfortunately he doesn't have any of the wheel sizes you are looking for.
