Default Aftermarket Brakes

Anyone using Power Stop Z26 brakes? I'm looking for a more aggressive street compound and found this setup as a package. Alternative seems to be Hawk HPS, anyone using one or the other?

Thanks

We've used the Hawk HPS on our cars. They are actually a very good street pad, with no squealing and minimal dust. But although the braking prowess is decent, they don't last long at the track, particularly with multiple 100+ mph braking zones. They worked ok for us at Summit Point, but wore out in 1 day at Watkins Glen. But for the street, we liked them. For a while, we were even swapping pads in & out between track events. For an early Green student, you can probably get away with them at the track, but as skill improves you'll want the advantages of a track pad, despite the noise (when cold) and dusting.

I use HPS pads in my E90. Love them. Stop well and 100x less dust than the stock Textars. Never heard of Power Stop.

Good info, thank you. Street use only, this on a 300zx looking for an upgrade over stock.

Looking at street pads I checked out track stuff. I've been away so long the pads I used to love dont exist anymore.

I also went with the Hawk HPS when I was in green/blue (until I started swapping pads and before I just left track pads in all the time). I was very happy with them, and I agree with Tony that they are okay on the track for green level and/or lower-speed tracks but will wear quickly when pushed harder.

I have HPS on the cooper. I love them on street. That have seen a track day and held up well on Shenandoah at a BMW HpDE.

I use the HPS's on the 997, they are great on the street as an upgrade over stock. Never made any noise and relatively dust free compared to stock.

Got the pads in tonight. New lines, rotors and fluid, typical 27 yr old car stuff. A little more noise than I wanted, maybe I need to go through bedding again?, but it seems like a big improvement.

Thanks again for the recommendation
