I live and work in DC. I park the car in a building garage. I would like to find somewhere I can work on my car. I want to be able to get it up in the air and learn about all this stuff I read about hands on. First thing I would like to do is clean all this oil off the bottom of the car so I can finally get a better sense of where it is leaking from. It's going to be messy. I did some reading and some threads said I have put plastic bags over certain items? Oil is caked everywhere - I would ideally need to some pressure to get this stuff off in addition to degreaser/oil eater.
Any suggestions?

I don't know of any place that rents lift time. I've heard if you ask nicely (offer money), gas stations with service bays sometimes will do it.
