Default Today's Problem

About half of the rear quarter window trim popped out yesterday for no apparent reason. Is there any way to reseat it without R&Ring the glass again? If not, do you guys have any recommendations for a glass company that will drop in at ASG to take care of it? Thanks in advance, Dorkis rule.

Posted this before in another thread: Champion did a good job when replacing the windshield in the old SC (arob's car) and to my knowledge, its still hasn't fallen out yet.

One of the main installers told me that while they do old 911s, its definitely not his favorite windshield to replace, they are a PIA to get just right. For the quarter glass, I can't imagine it would be too difficult.

Why don't you call Geoff or Ray and ask who they recommend and who will come to their shop?

I'm on my 3rd windshield since I bought the car from you.

Kidding.

Thanks for the suggestions. Going to have ASG's regular glass guy come out tomorrow and take a look. Consensus seems to be the glass will have to be R&Red again.

Is Lexan legal in stock class for the side windows?

FWIW, I've used Cherrydale Glass (now Harmon Glass, I think) on Lee Highway is very close to ASG. They're replaced windshields for me for over 20 years (including my 964) and have always done a superlative job.

hmmmm good question. i'm 99% sure its legal for the windshield. but i think you might be right about the other glass pieces. maybe not a problem for GT classes though.
