Default Engine Stand

Since it seems Dorkis drop their engines faster than a frat boy drops his pants at a kegger, cmartin and myself discussed the possibility of aquiring an engine stand to facilitate our fetish for removing our engines. Yes, there are allready stands in circulation, but I've been told you can't be too rich, too thin, or have too many engine stands. I've allready got an order into performance products and will be happy to add another item. Would anyone else like to contribute to this noble cause?

Good idea, but I have a lot less money since “getting into Porsches”, I am getting thin on top though, already got three engine stands.

I have a good quality engine stand that anyone is welcome to use. It only needs the correct yoke for the flat six. Come to think of it, it probably is feeling neglected. It hasn't been used in over 10 years

Any traction on this? I need the yoke soon, anyone want to split the cost? Or, better yet, anyone have once I can use?

I came across this, it is half the price of the p201, and lets you use a standard engine stand. Any one use one?

Already ordered, should be here in a day or two. I'll let you know when it arrives.

Question

looking around, i found this old post. the question is: what are people using to mount 911 engine cases to their stands? porsche tool P201 is a "yoke" that pelican offers at $200. any other sources/prices? saw a post on pelican that P201 fits nicely into the 1000 lb harbor freight stand.

Will fit in any stand. I have several and made another one up from the "ring." I also have a VW yoke that works OK with 356 engins and great with tranmissions. But IMO would also work with cases but would be iffy on much more than short block.
