Default Local shop for track worthy alignment?

I will be swapping out the shocks/springs and sway bars myself on the 996 in the next week or two and wanted to get a "good" track alignment done. I can set it close myself with but lack the real equipment and expertise to get it done with accuracy and certainty. I have some net knowledge on the general settings that I want for Camber and toe and want to stay pretty stock spec for caster.

Any recommendations on the VA side? Much appreciated.

IMA is great (pricier then some others, though). Many have used ASG for this as well. Intersport and RPM, too.

MD side, we are having a tech session at At Speed Motorsports in Elkridge Saturday morning the 16th. My car will be on the rack for the session. We are going over corner balancing, alignments, and trach inspections.

I am in the process of ding the same thing (M030). I will be going to ASG to get my alignment done.

I find if you go to a regular tire shop and tell them the settings, they'll do it. I did mine at a Merchant's a few months ago and it was refreshing to see they could do the same thing the pricier shops do, and for only about $125. This wasn't corner balanced, but without adjustable springs, it doesn't matter.

Exactly. The only thing that a race shop can provide is actual experience with the settings that would work "best". Sounds like you have the settings you want, so just give them to the tech at a alignment reputable shop. I went to the tire shop that does the "track" alignments for my mechanic and handed him the specs I wanted. $69.00 later, I had exactly what I asked for.

The tech admitted he couldn't tell me how the car would handle after, but a number is a number regardless of the person performing the alignment.

To make things easier, convert your numbers into minutes and degrees.

Okay, everybody, so what are the numbers for a 70% track, 30% street '86 911 with RA-1s, 22s and 28s?

I've hears -2 degrees camber front, various cambers rear (but do I want less camber with 30% street?).

How important is corner balancing for white run group, no racing?

Does anybody know the numbers that SmartRacing has Bilstein set their shocks to? Not that I have anything against paying Steve for his advice, but I just sent him a whole lot of money and am WAYYY over my budget (and now need to replace front struts and one trailing arm).
