Google “Porsche+parts” or some variation and you should be able to find some other sources. Unfortunately I believe the Turbo’s control arm (banana) is different from the NA 911s.

Brandywine, the local bone yard system can usually get parts from all over the country relatively quickly.

You know what, I used to deal with a big guy over @ Brandywine by the name of "Pat." I'm giving him a call now 301-627-4265.

I just had someone from Brandywine run my request via their National Parts Locator service twice. It came back with "nada." I'm hoping that LA Dismantler or the Oklahoma salvage yard can create an option.

I guess we'll see what happens later, sports fans!!!

UPDATE: Part number is H-331-511-05 for 911 turbo models.

The is also DC Automotive and LA Porsche.

Just curious - have you called any of the new parts places like Pelican or Performance to verify the $1700 price?

I did and that part is actually $2,068.50 plus shipping via Pelican. So, Curry's must be offering the part itself to me brand new @ close to their cost ($1,700).

I'm definitely going to check LA Porsche again when they open. I attempted yesterday, but no answer. The dC Automotive looks promising & I'm about to chime them now.

UPDATE: Robert from dC Automotive gave it a try, but no such item currently in stock for the turbo. He also said that this specific part for teh turbo will probably be hard to come by. It would just be the luck of the draw. I already know that there is no such part available through the National Parts Locator, so I may have to bite the bullet and shell out the $1700.

Damn!!

Will do. I really appreciate everyone's help. I look forward to getting my 930 out of Curry's (not that they are inconveniancing me, they have actually been pretty great. Got a free detail coming too!) and getting the opportunity to meet you all in person.

I think I'm going to have my AA jump in and help out on this! LOL!

UPDATE: Spoke w/ Steve of Instant-G, nice guy btw, and he said that he could probably dig up what I need, but he would need to sell the pair vs. only 1 side. The used pair cost is about $1500. I'm figuring, like Steve said, I could purchase that and sell the right side at a P-car swap meet or something down the line.

Since the new part cost is $1700, I'm thinking I should pull the trigger on Steve's offering & still give myself a chance to make back some $$$ at some later point in time, all the while saving about $200 instantly.

Mmmmmm. Assuming that the Steve's used piece will function as well as a brand new part, Steve sounds like the way to go.

Business 101: never leave money on the table.
