I wish! It will be a while before my pumper is pumping again.

Have a great time down there. If you haven't driven VIR before, let us know and we will really confuse you

Well, I've only got about 6 days at VIR, and I'm still very much a newbie (less than 5 months). So confuse away! Please.

If you turn in early at T4, slow down, or you are in REAL trouble by T6

The guy waving the blue fag w/yellow stripe at the oak tree is superfluous if you are driving a 944 NA & there are any other cars on the track

The climbing esses are a hoot if you get them right; they’re just a lot of fun otherwise

At the bottom of the roller coaster is a large, moderately smooth field. If it wasn’t recently mowed you can hear the grass brushing against the bottom of the car :o

IF you spin in T1, once in the grass turn left (the fence breaks to the left )

In the upper groups, with a slower car, you can get a sore shoulder giving passing signals

When you can take T? (2 before the Oak tree) flat out in fourth w/o lifting... you’ll getting it

Anytime a corner worker waves at you w/out a flag, you’re doing good 8)

When you pull in after a “4 off” and they shake their heads, you did less good

Fantastic Sunday down at VIR, shirt sleeves in the Paddock, lot of fun playing and passing most of the Vettes, Vipers, Mustangs, BMWs out there, did get passed by one or two but not many. Daytona Prototypes were also out giving some new young drivers (don't think they are old enough to shave yet) some seat time. Those babies are a mite fast!!. A bunch of Potomac members were there. Saturday was a lot of drizzle, not hard rain, but enough to grease down the track for several sessions. Then in the under 3 litre experienced Driver group, 4 Focuses were "playing", missed/ignored a debri flag and hit a humongous trail of someones oil under the bridge. One went drivers left at speed into the tyre wall at the beginning of the climbing esses. Took about an hour to clean up that mess. Our group were put onto the North Course, About 50 cars on the North Course, it was like the beltway at 4 PM. nose to tail cars . Last session was great!!. Banquet was excellent, Dave Murray and Price Cobb told a couple of racing stories and a really good nosh down. This event is worth it just to have some time on the track with other makes including some interesting historic stuff.

Yes, the weather was far better than expected.

They actually let one of those DP cars run in blue group.

That caused a mild bit of confusion since the driver apparently wasn't aware that we had passing signals in blue and we had only 3 passing zones, etc. I actually let him by going in to 4 because it seemed safe and it would have been ridiculous to hold him back until 6-7.

I just wished they had warned us before we went out. That's not something you are expecting to see in your mirror in blue!

But overall it was a very nice event.

Its obvious that you should move up to white, and quickly!
Blue is far too sketchy.

A DP in blue group

How in the world do the organizers let that happen?

Must have been one of those slightly slower first generation DPs. They had to match pace with Firoze, remember
