I was going through Lucketts today (N on 15 out of Leesburg just prior to crossing the Potomac) and noticed a sign saying "Car Show Sept 26"

Anybody ever gone before and if so, what was it like?

Somehow we don't have anything on the calendar for this Sunday and seeing as there was a playground right next to the grounds it might just make for a nice afternoon trip for the family

I don't know much about the car show even though it's only 10 minutes from the house.

I've gone a coupla years now - it's a much smaller show than Sully or even the last Purcelleville show but it's something to do. There's usually only a few foreign cars, Like maybe five or six. I think everything is '74 or earlier? Does anyone know for sure? I brought the tub the last few times, but can't make it this weekend (putting siding on the shop finally!!!)

I usually go for the bluegrass music, and the American Iron. Last year there was a '74 240Z that was spotless, and I do mean spotless. Reminded me of my second car - it was even the same burnt Orange color too. I think the show's sponsored by the Studi club, so there is usually more of them then anything.

hmmmmmmmmm, sounds like a trip to one of the maizes profiled in the Post today might be a better bet for the family on Sunday.
