Ok, I know you're all tired after a tough (and cold?) weekend at the track. But, the rest of us are counting on you to provide details, photos and video. So, come on - give it up!

No photos from me, but I had a great time. I didn't see any accidents, didn't have an OTE's, my car performed like a champ and now I'm really looking forward to moving to SoCal after that cold weekend. Geeeeezzzeee - it was sooooo damn cold! Maybe I didn't notice it last summer because of the pleasant weather, but the downtime this weekend was a bit of a buzzkill. The whole weekend was defined by hurry up and wait. Getting there for a 7:00am tech and then not going on the track for another 4 hrs. or so blew. I think we need to set up up some sort of rolling tech times. But it was fun. I need new wheels and tires big time. All else can wait.

I'm kinda surprised myself. I am still editing down the video to make it viewable. If you didn't have dramamine, the raw footage was a bit tough to watch (too cold to hold the camera properly). I will pick up the photos tonight. At 1/1000 and 1/500 of a sec, I hope the turn out a little better.

Since they are prints, I will bring them to the Dorkiphus gathering on Saturday. As if you needed another excuse to come. If you see anything you would like reprinted, I find a way to organize a reordering method. No guarantees that they are any good however....

Default I wiped out!

Still tired... even after 10 hours sleep last night!

It was a great weekend, but too cold & too much downtime between runs, as Richard said. The rest between runs may have been OK, if it wasn't so d*mn cold.

Thankfully we were light on incidents... one car out of gas, another with a blown motor in T3, several cars spun off, but no one hit anything.

Biggest complaint on Saturday was a few cars were slow (as in 1 - 3 laps!!) to give a pass. Much better on Sunday.

I've got a few pics to post... I'll upload them tonight.

I had a few near misses. There's nothing like doing triple digit speeds 1-2 car lengths between two others and wondering whose brakes are best. Also, my Kuhmos blow!!! For the last three laps or so of each run, they got so hot that I felt like I was on ice. I got in a lot of good throttle steering and came away feeling I had learned something and had a lot more confidence in my car. Lots of people learned the value of bubble-less and new brake fluid for every event.

Um yeah. For comparison, I looked at my brake fluid. It's definantly not the nice blue stuff you all were using.... I have no idea if the PO ever flushed it. After hearing reports from you guys on the track, and reading the Der Vorganger article, I think I'm in line for a flush. Anyone got some time to teach and the equipment?

Steve, you should assume you have dish soap suds in your brake lines. If you didn't flush them yourself, consider it never to have been done. It's an easy job and will provide an enormous performance improvement. We did Charlie's brakes in under 30 min. in the paddock - very easy job.
