Default Steve Wong, Good guy

Gave Steve Wong a call today to discuss burning a chip for my cars rebuilt motor. Learned more about my car from him than my records ever showed. He is a wealth of info for you carrera owners. Turns out my car was a special order euro delivery car with all the Club Sport motor upgrades. My DME has a 28 pin euro chip with three switchable maps. I didn't even know this crap existed! Marc has said it before, if you are considering chipping your Carrera give Steve a call. He's done his homework.

If a 3.2 crank could solely propell a car, then I would be. Being that it is the only part of my motor I have in my possession. I should have everything back by next week. I'm going to take my time on the reassembly. I really want to get this right the first time.

Club Sport chip is the 358 chip...same chip that I had in my car...very aggressive mapping which is probably the reason I experienced ZERO difference with the SWC install. Runs a bit richer so I suppose at WOT the AFM is on the rich side.

Can't wait to see your ride blasting down the road...BTW, my car is lower...a lot lower.

Yep....Steve W. is a great guy. Took time to explain to me all the options available to me for my chip. Ended up purchasing the 93 octane chip with 6720 rpm rev limiter.

The chip was a noticeable difference for me!

Marc,
We're not talking about the rock chips on your car do to agricultural outings, we're talking about kompooter chips. You know, like the ones that operate Jasons undercar neon kit!

Whew, it felt good to vent some smack. :P

Whoa, Jason has an undercar neon kit? I thought I was a badass with my simulated blow off valve...
