(Oops, accidentally posted it to "wanted")
I'm getting ready to move, and I hate to admit that it's probably not worth hauling my p-car two states away. ![]() VIN: WP0AA0945FN457924 She was assembled in August 1985, and delivered to a dealer in Philadelphia where it appears she was a lease vehicle for three or four years. There are meticulous records of all service done through her first several owners, and it seems to me that I'm the fifth. (Lease holder, second owner in PA, third owner in Laurel area, fourth owner was a college student at Towson, and then me.) Records for the owner immediately prior to me are sketchy at best, but I have documents for everything I've had done. ~124,000 miles young and located in scenic (and double-taxed) Arlington, VA. I just had the timing belt, water pump, steering rack, and front engine seals replaced at RPM. They also put in a brand new brake master cylinder and fixed a problem with the EVAP and vacuum system. (She barely passed smog in February, should pass with flying colors now.) I also recently replaced the metal clip for the A/C vent under the driver's side of the dash, and now the air is cold once again. As far as I can tell, it's the original R-12, not "down"graded to R-134a. She's got an automatic transmission, which to most of you is a detriment but I know there are people out there who like such a thing. It appears to have been replaced with a rebuilt unit at 94,000 miles. Sunroof, guards red, the somewhat controversial "center light" with the relocated rear license plate, blue LED instrument lights. Option codes: C88, 158, 425, 454, 533, 650, 946. ![]() The bad: - Paint is badly oxidized on the hood, needs serious polish/wax at minimum - Passenger side door handles (inside and outside) aren't working; I have been trying to fix this since getting her - There are some electrical gremlins draining the battery when she's parked - Rides a little low in the rear, IMHO (see note about shocks below) - Water temperature gauge points 90 degrees CCW of where it should be - Rear hatch glass separating a bit; I've repaired it with some clear RTV and it keeps the water out ![]() Parts that are included but not installed: - Blaupunkt tape/radio (not original, installed around 1997) - Aiwa CDC-MP3 (I was installing it, but having trouble bypassing the built-in fader) - Brand-new Koni adjustable front strut inserts - Brand-new Boge rear shocks - two copies of the Haynes manual ![]() I'd really like to sell her to someone who cares, so I'm posting to Dorkiphus first. I'll switch to Pelican and later eBay or craigslist if nothing pans out. I'm hoping for over $3500 to at least recoup some of the service I just had done, ignoring what I paid for her in the first place. Anyone's welcome to come on by and take a look at her. -Chris

Yeah, I know. For a while I had been considering buying a parts car with a manual and swapping it in. I just don't have the space to undertake such a project.
