Have you ever wondered what your car is really capable of on the track? Let's say you put Hurley Haywood behind the wheel of your car. What kind of times would your car be capable of in it's current state?
I think it would be cool to have a maximum performance time to shoot for. So Pari, at the next DE, would you please take my car out and show me how it's done? What hotshoe's who drive 3.2 Carreras will be at the track in March?

I can't speak for Pari, but I always feel like a hotshoe at the track. Then again, I can never be sure if its me or my SC that makes me look so good :P I do plan on being at SP in March if that helps.

Ted -- ask Ivan Arzola to drive it. You will quickly find out just how bad a driver you actually are!

With Ivan driving, I wouldnt NOT want to be in the car. He's an animal out there, very fun to watch.

He took my wife out for some 'touring laps' in our Carrera a couple years ago at SP, and I timed him at 1:34. She said he wasn't really pushing the car, and he was giving her pointers the entire time. But when he came in, the temperature gauge was higher than I have ever been able to get it!
I also had an ex-SCCA racer friend of mine drive the Carrera for a couple sessions at a Seat Time. He had never been in a 911, and hadn't been on the track in 3 years, and he typically ran 1:34s and 1:35s. For comparison sake, my best lap times later that same year were high 1:36s/ low 1:37s... So that's how I know I need to keep focusing on my driving skills and getting more seat time before i start putting money into upgrading the car -- I need to shave about 2 seconds off per lap before I spend money on stickier tires, upgraded suspension, lowering car, etc...

Note to others: Don't make suggestions about where someone can and cannot brake. Just sit quiet and hold on. Now that my car is pretty done, I might let him have a run in it. Just to check all his work at speed!

Mike, I was at the Sept. DE at VIR. Ivan blew past me in the upper esses like I was standing still.
David, right now I'm running consistant 136's at SP. but that's with Toyo RA-1's and 22 and 28 t-bars. I like to see 132's before I change anything else.
