Default Steal Wheel Texas holdem

A very nice Dorki lent me 4 steel wheels to haul poor ARF to the painters, in time. I fear my not steel lug nuts will bottom out on the wheels. If I were to purchase steel nuts from Ace hardware or better yet Action Auto parts, what size should I specify. 19mm? 13mm? what???

Thanks

PS. No I don't intend to go to Ace, HD or Lowes for these!!!

I believe the bevel on Porsche steel lug nuts are unique to Porsches and believe it or not VW busses. just towing or rolling may not damage steel wheels, don't know!!

John I have a set of steel Porsche lug nuts that you can use! Why didn't you PM me in first place? That said…

Don’t use non Porsche lug nuts on Porsche alloys!!! Porsche wheels index on the lug nut. Using the wrong ones can seriously screw up your alloys. I don’t think regular lug nuts will damage steel wheels at all. But why would you buy non Porsche lug nuts and then leave them lying around the garage waiting to sneak onto your Fucks and mess them up. The last set of Porsche lug nuts I got cost around $2.25 each.

David,
the goal is to get lug nuts for the steel wheels. I am afraid that my Porsche alloy lug nuts will bottom out on these wheels. I haven't tried it yet but I was thinking ahead, and , that may be the problem. Thinking! I will try one tomorrow and see what happens.

Measure the depth of the alloy lug nut with a pencil. Then match it to wheel stud. If you run the alloy lug nut to far down on the stud you “pop” the end out just as neat as you please. Ha, wait a minute you can use the alloy nuts that I’ve already modified like that
