Default ALMS Opener: 12 Hours of Sebring

Is anyone up for putting together a block of rooms / tickets for the American LeMans Series season opener at Sebring? It's March 16 - 19, and it's my understanding that there will be some new teams this year -- possibly an Aston-Martin based squad. As for me, I'll be cheering madly for the Flying Lizard team out of Sonoma (2nd overall in GT their first year out), but if you must root for Patrick Long... I can't very well fault you for that. Anyway, I don't mind working on the logistics, but I'll need to know by December 17 whether or not you're on board. My plan is to fly down, but if someone wants to split the driving, I'd consider that as well. Just so long as we take your car! Anyway, let me know by posting up here. 8)

I wonder if there will be a conflict with a DE weekend.

I was at the membership meeting on saturday night, and I believe I heard that the first DE is in April. Besides, in 12 hours, you can learn an awful lot about the racing line watching the guys who do it for a living, and you won't need new pads & rotors afterwards. Besides, the Pirelli Girls almost never show up for Club races....

Sebring is a blast, once you get past the toothless floridians :P I went in '97? (you know, if you remember it, you weren't really there 8) ) Nothing like a rented motorhome to have a little fun...
