Default Winter projects?

For those of us who have done their last track event this season or, God for bid, don't drive their car in the winter , what are your winter projects? I plan on the following:

Install Safety Devices roll bar
Racing seat install
5 point harness install

If I'm feeling really froggy, I may put those 993 brakes on. As it stands all four rotors are shot, (damn cracked Zimmermans) and my front calipers need a rebuild.

Oh yea, My other winter project will be our daughter who is due on November 9th.

Since I was really "smart" and spent the summer doing mecahical work, this winter is mostly for finishing off the cosmetic stuff I skipped to get the car on the road:

- Install black interior (brown interior is mostly "uninstalled")
- Reinstall windshield/read glass correctly
- Install new decklid/tail and rear bumper pads (after paint)

Truth is, winter in my house is usually house project time, not P-car time (hence the summer time restoration). I see a finished basement in my future this winter.

Vu,
If you can stand a plain red extinguisher, mine will be replaced over the winter by the new AFFF fire system thats been sitting here since Daytona!

The red bottle and bracket will be looking for a new home. I'm thinking that you will be after a stainless steel model, right?

Actually this made be think about “winter projects” (in order of priority ):
1. Get the ‘71 Targa’s new clutch throw out arm pivot & sell it (much sole searching on selling this car, it was our first)
2. Rebuild & install Carrera brakes on SC.
3. Pull the motor out of the ‘84 Targa beater to prepare it for insertion into SC
4. Replace the “actively leaking” oil pressure warning light sender on my ’84 Targa beater. Interesting note “active leaks” are defined as any that “drip hot oil on Kurt’s head”
5. Install the “Faux Racer” motor in the ‘84 Beater, thereby creating a “Frankensteinish” 2.5 ltr., Weber carbed, overweight retro 911 Targa
5. Find & fix what ever is making that god awful noise in the 944
6. Install the ‘84 3.2 w/SSIs in the SC (soon to be dedicated track car)
7. Put my 931 back together (more of a dream than project)
8. Start working on our newest acquisition Sport Racer project
9. Anything Linda wants me to do (actually this will always be my 1st priority)

1. Rebuild engine to 2.7RS MFI specifications
2. Re-do my bolted together seat brackets (for the Bilstein seats) so that they are nicely welded
3. Install 5-point harnesses
4. Paint the rollbar
5. Change front struts to later style (3.5" caliper mounting) and install S calipers
6. Finish prepping ducktail and have it painted
7. Paint / polish the track wheels
