Is anyone interested in doing a group buy for a fender rolling machine? I know, I know, that's what a bat is for but since they have come down in price quite a bit, it would be nice to have one in our ranks.
I'm biased b/c I need to use it but maybe there will be other Dorkis that may need one in the future as well. It lists for $250 therefore (doing the easy math here) if 5 of us get together.... well, you get the picture. Obviously, the more the merrier, or easier on the wallet. http://eastwoodcompany.com/shopping/...rd=fender+roll |

Dave, have you priced getting your fenders rolled at Pitstop Performance? Just curious about their price. Not that I'm going to roll Dino's fenders.

I have, their initial quote was $40 per fender, but according to them it *could* increase depending how much rolling they have to do. I was ready to go through with it too, but then Charlie alerted me to the one I listed.
So I figured that if I'm looking at approx $100 just to get my car done once, I'd rather eat the cost myself and just buy the contraption. I'm sure it will not be the last time I will want to roll some lips... there is a 993 somewhere in my future Don't be so sure you won't be rolling... once you see a narrowbody w/ 8's it's a look that's hard to resist.... or argue with. |

It sure sounds like the more cost effective approach really is buying that device and splitting the cost among all interested folks (or alternatively just charging them to roll their fenders). |

Well, due to the camraderie and general demeanor of all the Dorkis, I could never even *consider* charging anyone... the advice and help, not to mention friendships that I have from Dorki are beyond that.
...but I do get *thirsty* every now and then |

Dave, I may be interested in this. If nothing else, you and I can buy it, roll the fenders, and then sell the thing on eBay. But I do know several of us need our fenders rolled (ahem - Ted), so we got to be able to get this into the sub $50 each range.

Sounds good to me Chris. I am not in an extremely urgent rush, (I haven't found my 7's yet), so I don't really *need* to run my 8's at this point, but it doesn't hurt to plan ahead.
Hopefully others will join in, if not, then I'm game to go along w/ your plan. |

I've got two cars that I would like to roll/pull the fenders on. The first is my '71 911T and the second is a *gasp* 240sx.
