Default I got oil ...

... on the garage floor, that is. I haven't been underneath to check,
but it looks like around the tranny end of the engine. Castrol, no Swepco.
I parked in the driveway today after a spirited drive around Great Falls.
Found a 3" puddle when I moved the car to the garage. There's another
puddle of equal size on the garage floor. I'm wondering if it's the flywheel
seal. In the driveway the car was facing downhill. Kinda like the rest
poured out of the bell housing once she was level in the garage.

Sorry to hear it Greg ... I can feel your pain as I went through an oil experience myself after re-building the engine

Hope yours turns out to be an easier fix then you were expecting.

That's crappy news, Greg. Did you see oil puddles or were you using oil at an unexpected rate at Mid-Ohio? You should be getting pretty good at engine drops by now, eh?

Nope. Yesterday was the first time for puddles. I noticed a couple drops,
but that was all. Dropping a few capfulls in the garage after an equal
amount in the driveway is clearly new behavior.

I guess another engine drop is in order.

Greg,
Sorry to here the bad news. You and Charlie have me nervous about my flywheel seal leaking. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Ted:

I have complete faith that your rebuild will NOT be the second coming of the Exxon Valdez. Don't waste your energy worrying about it. By the time yours decides that it might leak everyone else will have already accumulated tons of experience and can assist in your "minor" repair.
