Default Hello and thoughts

I just found your BBS this morning and I think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread. A forum for locals!!! I will definitely be hitting you all up for help, mental and physical.

BTW, how many 924, 44 and 51 are here. I didn't see a whole lot?

Now for my thoughts. I am considering tackling my oil pan gasket soon due to a leak I cannot stand. I think at this point I may invest in Lindsey's 3-piece exhaust pipe and cross over for the next time i may have to go in there. Anyone have suggestions, experience etc.?

Welcome to the forum Chapstic951. You have some neighbors in Ashburn that are fellow Dorki's as well.

Or...more appropriately "engine lift"

Chapstic ... (your real name?) There are few FEWC types on this board and several that drop in occasionally from the PCA Potomac board / group. We have had some recent defectors to the FEWC side of the fence and I think there are a few more in the works b/c 924 / 944 / 951 / 968 track cars are readily available.

Welcome.

First Q: why is your engine in the wrong end of the car?

Jase

Oops, your right Jase, I forgot for a second that chapstic has a 951. Pretty retarded of me since it's in the screen name. I guess I blame it on my 911 bias .

Chapstic is a derivative of my last name, Chalupsky, and from my HS and college days when I was 6'4" and 150lbs, like a stick...hence chapstic. Now sitting on 200lbs, chapthick dosn't have the same ring.

My engine is on the right end, you guys are just driving backwards

I was really hoping not to drop it, or lift it. We will see. I am working on diagnising a lack of boost problme first. That one "should" not be too difficult.

Got a 931 (actually a couple), don’t ask I’m thinking about signing up for counseling! Tony K just got a 951 S & even though he likes it, he admits the engine is on the wrong end. Welcome, there are some great people here let us know if you need any help

Welcome.

There are a bunch of us 911 owners out here in the Herndon/Reston/Ashburn area so we'll probably be seeing you on the road soon
