I would buy a second one but, when I went to use it to lift the front of my Suburban it moaned and groaned like a tijuana wh___!

So, I said forget that. Let me know if you see a 3+ ton jack on sale there.

C'mon Jase. You know the front of your Surburban is just about to the capacity of that 3000# jack. . .I just bought mine today at the Chula Vista store (here in SDiego), took the print out from on-line and walked it out for 89.00 (+ CA tax). Floor list is 139.00. Yahoo!

I think the girl from T was faking it, just like the noise from the jack.

LOL

Don't get me wrong, I love my $139 jack, just thought it would handle the "corner" of the truck The OEM scissor jack worked fine. Besides, it was 21 degrees and if the high quality GMC pads weren't squealing like a stuck pig I wouldn't have been out there. Maybe the aluminium was protesting the cold ... as well.

Don N:

Lively thread on zone 8 PCA members over there on P-parts. 13 regions is a lot of cats to "herd". I wish you luck in your new endeavor.

Don-
Tom Bobbit asked me to "volunteer" to assist Zone 8 in standing up a DE program. As is stands now, the zone is big in AX and some Time Trialing (is that a word?) and club racing. What's missing is the intermediate step: DEs.
So, because they've (the regions) haven't done it too much before, and because those they've done have been sorta ad hoc, the rigor and structure evidenced by the zones on the east coast is a little hard toget adopted. So, we're taking small steps to get there. The first is instituting an instructor training program and an IT program. We'll move forward from there.
Tom B and Pete Tremperer are coming out for the CA Festival of Speed to assist in the DE portions and to drive Fontana. Any of you guys wanna come play? I understand there are vacancies!
