Stupid, stupid, stupid. I use hanging tennis balls in the garage to ensure proper parking - I had it set for the P-car so when the ball "kissed" the left wiper mount point, I was correctly postioned, left/right/ and forward/rear. Well, I mounted hanging bicycles over the p-car - and had to adjust the tennis ball mounting. Unfortunately, when I was pulling the car out of the garage, the ball/cord got caught under the wiper. I was paying attention to backing up - and did not notice the cord streeeeeetching out. Finally, "PING" - the hook in the ceiling comes flying out at a good velocity and puts a nice dimple/dent in the otherwise pristine hood.
Long story leading to inquiry if anyone can recommend a good paintless dent removal specialist in the NoVa area? Thanks in advance! By the way, rearranged pics on my web site - on the first page, shows the C2 before and after lowering. I really don't understand why the factory had the US models stuck so high in the air. They recommended paintless dent removal as an alternative to painting. They didn't do it, but brought someone in to do the work, and results were AMAZING! I'm not amazed by much, but results were incredible. It cost about $200. which seems high, but as an alternative to a door re-spray it's a bargan. I've looked at that black paint 10 different ways, and can't tell where it was? Keith

Pat,
Were I you, I would contact Linton Motor Sport in Manassas and ask who they use. When I bought my '88 Carrera from Scott Linton, the out-of-shop PDR guy they use was at work on an M3 that had been damaged in transit. Very impressive results were obtained immediately (the resiliency of truly good steel is indeed impressive- and that was not even 911 steel). -Greg |
