Default 997.2 Race Rubber - looking for thoughts

I have an 2009 Carrera (997.2) that I want to get track rubber for - so I have a few questions since this will be a first for me.

My normal road tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sports on factory rims (235/35/19 and 295/30/19). I have a set of winter tires on factory rims as well (235/40/18 and 295/30/18).

I am thinking that I have two options for track rubber.

1. mount on the 18" wheels I currently have (wont need track rubber in the winter)
2. buy beater rims for the track rubber.

I think the likely best option is #2 - then the question becomes what size rims/rubber? OF course I will talk to the folks at Radial but would like to hear some feedback from this group first.
