No questions or suggestions, just wanted to compliment the guys who put this board together. The "last time on" feature really saves browsing time by comparing it to the "last post " time on the categories and topics. You obviously borrowed from Pelican, but you did a great job improving on their model and adapting the board to our local needs. Thanks for the effort, and keep up the good work.

Targa911,

Thanks for the complements, but flattery will not get you moved to the next run group This is the first board (at this scale) that Geoff and I have put up, so its a learning experience for us also....and quite fun.

The "last time on" and "last post" features are built in as default features, so don't give Wayne that much credit ......albiet the scripts he writes himself are very cool/useful.

This board is still in its infant stages and there is ALOT that can still be done, so keep the suggestions coming. Looks like this board will become a nice asset for our local group.

I wasn't meaning to flatter. I assumed I was already in the best group. There's a better group? Now I'm crushed.

Hi guys. I've just stumbled in after seeing the references to here on Pelican. It looks like you've done a great job. I'll look forward to seeing you all at the next fun run or other event. Thanks for your work. Now, with this first post, let's see if I can get this avatar thing to work ....

Bill

I finally figured out what Pelican means. This board:

Pelican Parts BBS

Just wanted to add my two cents: That is a very nice board. I do like it. I however will not be doing any adverts on this site at least not for a while and without discussion on here prior. I also use a different backend than the pelican board. And I don't actually write scripts currently like Wayne does. I am not a wheel maker unless I have to be. Inherent laziness on my part.

My intention for this board is to do some of the stuff I like to do (programming wise) and don't get to do working my current job. Charlie and I also plan to start a business someday (soon I hope blah blah). So you all get to be our poster children.

I do get benefit from you all in case you didn't know! You guys bump up the traffic on my site which will raise my level in the search engines, it also give me a great piece to show off (charlie as well). This is an invaluable tool for me,

So I guess what I am trying to say in a round about way here is:

Thanks to you members, thanks to Charlie and Mark A for doing the real work!

-Geoffrey
