Default Flagger Training for 2010 Club Rac

Announcing Corner-Worker Training for the 2010 Potomac Club Race in October.

Flagger Training School for the upcoming 2010 Potomac PCA Club Race at Summit Point is scheduled for March 20 and 21. Additional trained flaggers are needed to staff the corners for our 2010 Club Race event, so please sign up to attend this school in March. Training is provided through the Washington Region of the SCCA. The school is available at no cost to participants, thanks to the generosity of the SCCA folks. The course includes classroom instruction and hands-on training on a corner with a mentor during an actual SCCA race. The Potomac Region is only able to offer the annual event with the generosity and support of trained volunteers to work the corners. This training is only offered once a year in March. Email me at KevinOyler@aol.com with your contact info to sign-up. We need dorki help to insure trained corner-workers are available to continue staffing our annual race.

Still need more trained volunteers to flag for the Potomac Club race. The school on March 20 & 21 is the only training available before the fall 2010 race for those without training. The response from Dorki's so far is underwhelming. Help make amateur Porsche racing possible for the drivers. Sign up for the school now.

Flagging is a lot of fun. Its a very serious responsibility at the races. But the veteran flaggers, most from SCCA, are an awesome bunch! I've worked as a junior flagger at a number of events over the years, and its always been a rewarding experience. If you've never done this, you really should consider. You will not regret it!

Why is this? They don't teach it for any other groups any other time of the year? Seems very limiting. I was trying to make it, but am in a similar situation.

How about a trackside day care?
How about just doing the classroom portion, and getting the on track experience during a DE during sessions you're not running?
