I got the following response to a email from Craigs List to my ad for the 1986 Donation car. The note invited me to reply as if he was going to be interested.
I try to be as truthful a person as possible (without hurting feelings) and I hate it when I am lied to. First, the CEO of graigs list is not this guy. The internet is a swamp of liars and self promoters sprinkled with crooks. You take a real chance every time you buy something via this medium. Edited to remove a link to the scammers website. These guys don't need any more traffic, and I'd rather not have their links on this board.

Thanks John,
I'd say 1 out of 4 replies/inquiries from craigslist is legit. It's unfortunate though, it could be a excellent resource if not for the spammers.
