Mine is showing clear for at least Friday and Saturday but we all know the weather man don't know squat.

weather forecasts beyond 3 days have a very low confidence factor for accuracy even among the most experienced and talented of meteorologists.

If Earl is the storm approaching Bermuda, chances are good that since it is that far north to begin with, the normal westerly air flow across North America will head it off and turn it north along the coast toward New England.

A number of years ago there was a hurricane that just missed VIR when we were down there. I had to drive up to NoVA and back on the Saturday of the weekend for a meeting - had planned to fly (as a "lesson" both up and back - which was the cheapest way to do the trip other than driving) but weather too ominous to fly a small plane.
