Default "go pro" video system?

I saw a print ad for www.goprocamera.com and was checking out their site.

Anyone use a camera like this? (like the motorsports hero?)

I am just considering a relatively cheap and simple way to make some videos.. mostly of AX but maybe more stuff. I liked the compact design and seemingly limitless mounting places to try.

Looks like they save on the screen, which you don't need for filming your car. Makes it smaller, too.

Its a generation behind in terms of frame size [forget large screen] and video quality. The packaging is great for hanging onto your dirt bike, but that's the main attraction. You can get terrific results from an Aiptek HD camera for the same money. Depends on what's most important to you - video quality and options, or the rugged case and mounting choices.

Lots for folks are buying from http://www.aiptek.com. The price is just as good, but I think you'll find the video quality is better. The resolution of the GoPro is 512x384, where the Aipteks are 1280x720 at a higher frame rate.

When I play back the video, it comes out as a series of stills. What's the problem?
