Default 77 911S on Craigslist

I love this color. Don't know anything about this car. Seems a bit high priced given the year but appears to be in good shape. I would imagine it has had a rebuild of the 2.7 if it has that many miles.

I don't need another 911 but would be willing to look at it for someone.

What does he mean by "dipped frame"? I thought they didn't start galvanizing until 1978.

Also, does "no acidents" mean the same thing as "no accidents?"

They started galvanizing parts [or a similar process] and such in the longhoods.

1976 cars were almost completely galvanized.

By '77 they were 100 %.

Lots of discussion on this at PPBBS or Mid9.net, etc...

That looks similar to a 77 Coupe I looked at in Asheville, very nice color.
It only had 60,000 miles and the seller wanted $12,000, perfect shape inside and a few paint chips on the usual spots but no dings or dents/

I passed since the motor still had the Thermal Reactors (re-installed after rebuild ) and it left a nice round puddle on the ground after the test drive.

Seller was on the PCA board in the mountain region and didn't know what T-Reactors were

He finally sold it on evilbay 14 months later.

.

Sometimes I think PCA stands for Porsche Checkwriters Association.
