Default March DE : Schedule Change and Who's In?

Anybody else notice that it appears this years DE's will be 3 run sessions at 25, 25 and 30 minutes?

Last year it was 4 20 minute sessions so it still is the same amount of track time however now we will be out there for longer stints.

Since it is less then 2 weeks away there is no time like the present to start planning our run out there. Marc and I will be meeting on the North side of the Greenway Toll Plaza at 6 am that morning and will be on the road by 6:15.

So who's in to join us for the drive out and who will be meeting us out there that we should be saving pit space for? Just like last year hopefully all us NoVa Dorki can pit together.

The countdown has begun

Doug et al,

I'll meet you guys at the GreenwayToll Plaza for the caravan up.

BTW: I'd favor the 4, 20 minute sessions during the hot summer months. I remember my oil temps would continue to rise through a session with my non effective loop cooler. At least with the 20 minute sessions, thats 10 less minutes of rising oil temps. Another excuse to install that cooler thats been sitting around....

We did the 3 sessions a day at VIR last month, and it was fine. I don't care, so long as it's track time.

I'll join the fun run to SP.

My car will be at the track, so I'll just be part of the hum-drum traffic. Think I'm going to miss driving the Pcar to the track. We've had some great caravans over the last couple of years. The drive back from VIR was a classic. Watching Richard blast out in front on that long stretch of Route 7 on the way to Summit and THEN seeing the cop was another. Great stuff!

Doug,

I'll be there for the caravan... both days. You guys are coming home Sat night, right?

Man am I getting wound up... brakes rebuilt, flushed, and bled; harness belts installed, checklist at the ready, etc. About the only thing I haven't done is lay out my clothes for that early morning sneak out of the bedroom!

See y'all at Tech this Sat.

Anyone know the proper way to cancell a de AND not be charged? With the pending sale of my Carrera I changed my status via the web to cancelled. Sent an email to registrar for good measure. No confirmation though. If I'm paying, I'm playing.

If I'm not driving I might come up to see the gang and snap some photo's. You know, never enough pictures of Porsches.

Gang:

Like Tony, I'll be there already and will see you when the "caravan" is escorted in by 5-Oh. Trailer will be open but not sure coffee / donuts will be avvailable besides, there is always "Chez Summit."

Chris:

I have cancelled events right on the cusp of the 15 (or 14 ?) day window prior to an event. I am sure Bob Novas (Registrar) will get back to you ASAP on your cancellation. It might be a delay "thing" like when you are listed as "pending" while your payment is confirmed.

If the system lets you change the status to cancelled then you are cancelled. The programing will not let you access to cancel after the cutoff.

The only thing the registrar is going to do is find the next person on the list to 'accept'.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm still new to the system, I appreciate the warm and fuzzy.

Chris - you're cancelled. All you have to do is look at the event registration page and you can see that you're cancelled. I notice that you're pending for VIR. Not that it matters, if you're selling your car, but note that a lot of people are pending because they didn't pay Zone 2 directly. Payment for the Zone2 VIR event doesn't go thru Potomac region - it takes a paypal or check to Kristen, zone2registrar@comcast.net.
