Not sure if this is the correct place for this question so feel free to move it.
I am selling a set of factory manuals and am trying to figure out actual market value. Complete set in good to excellent condition with no marks or smudges on pages. I have seen people asking anywhere from $400-$1600. Any guesses?

10 years ago top dollar. Now? Cant help with pricing. I needed a wiring diag for a 1980 euro SC. went on the internets, went clickity click "print" and had a full color clear wire diag in my hand 2 min after I first though "I need the diagrams"
I have an almost full set of the red years as well. will be interesting to see what they are worth.

I'd check/ask on Early S Registry. Like Vicegrip says, the information in these is pretty much free at this point. So I'd speculate that any value they have is in that they exist and are official "Porsche Factory Manuals" for guys that geek out on old Porsche things. I'd bet someone would buy these for the same reason they buy old Porsche advertising and other things. They put them in their garage next to their $150,000 impeccably restored 1971 911S and it completes the whole picture.

I got $250 for my set last year if that helps. I didn't have the larger volumes. Posted on Rennlist and Pelican. Buyer came from Pelican. HTH.

Thanks for the feedback and I agree from a practical stand point these are useless. That is why they are clean b/c I never used them always looked up the info electronically. I am anticipating the buyer being a 'collector' and much like other collectables they are worth whatever someone is willing to pay.
I threw them up on fleabay will report back if they sell.

Don't discount the fact that there are alot of older folks that don't mess with the internet that much and would love to have a set in the garage for reference. Same people that still get the newspaper instead of reading an iPad. I have a full set of pristine 44 manuals that I bought off this Board for $75 and was happy to pay for just to have. I use them once in a while because I'm too lazy to go in and fire up the computer where I have them electronically. These are good Hershey items if you are not in any hurry to sell. Otherwise it's online classifieds. Start high but reasonable if you really want to sell them and see what the market will bare. I would think $250 is about the max. Good luck.

$250, I'll buy them in a heartbeat. I think you'd get about $400-$600 to the right buyer.
