it is probably the cleanest 9146 in the US... it will be worth more than that someday.

In nominal values, no it won't. In USA dollars? Absolutely. Inflation will take care of that. Just wait. lol

Hmmmm. Now much would a real 914GT with a racing provenance cost?

Real GT with race history is probably $200k. They didn't make a lot of real GTs
Edit: Found the list I was thinking of, all the cars are listed, along with the M471 option code street cars. http://www.stazak.com/914/gt/car/car.html FYI: there is a 914/6 imsa gtu daytona winner (1980) that's for sale for $125k...and it's based on a normal 914/6, not a GT

Neat! There's a real 914GT that regularly shows up at the Turkey Bowl. The owner has 2--the real one, and a tribute. Guess which one sees the track...

I always felt the 914 is the one car that the factory wished would just go away ... even 40 years later. I don't think I've ever seen an official mention of the 914/6 - Boxter connection. I think officially it was the Boxster - 550 Spyder connection that was advertised (I get the body design thing), but come on, mid-engined mass produced cars .... not like Porsche has had a lot different models there. Gues that's one reason why I like the teeners, odd. $87k? If some one buys it, guess it would be worth it to them. They're strange looking, quirky little cars, always were and always will be. $87k, I say GLWTS
