Default Kars and Koffee

I got this information from Saman Limouee, who owns and operates Great Falls Exxon. He has a 1995 993 Cabriolet. His friend and head tech, Dave Bergman, is a Porsche Tech formerly with Funktion Auto, HBL and Intersport, also owns two 1973 911's, one of which is an RS Clone. They usually attend the Cars and Coffee described below. Thought this is something that might interest the group.

Here is the announcement as it was sent to me.

Car Buffs:

The official start of Katie's Cars & Coffee will be the first Saturday in April. It will run through the last Saturday in October. Invited are all classic car buffs in the greater metropolitan area. Scheduled time is from 7:00 am to 9:00 am, weather permitting, every Saturday in front of Katie's, which is located at 7601 Walker Road, Great Falls, VA. (If you are not familiar with Great Falls, Katie's is located behind BB&T Bank and the post
office off Georgetown Pike, next to The Old Brogue Restaurant.)

Katie's Coffee Shop will reserve all the parking spaces directly across from their entrance, for use by Cars & Coffee participants. There will be signage identifying the reserved spaces.
For those new participants, the concept behind the gathering is threefold: first, it's a pleasant desination on a Saturday morning; second, it's a chance to spend time with other car guys and gals while still being able to get home in time for weekend activities; and third, to have a good cup of coffee and view some really cool cars. Stay as long as you want and, if you care to head down the road with others for a longer morning drive, that's great too.

The more the merrier, so feel free to share this information with friends and members of area car clubs who might also like to participate. Everything from antique trucks to rare Ferraris are welcome. Local Truimph, Jaguar, Corvette, Austin Healey, Ferrari Clubs, for instance, might be interested in learning about the event. If you have a contact at any of these clubs, please pass the information to me so that I can add them to our
database.

Try and join us as many Saturdays as possible to make this a weekly event in Great Falls. Some of us will be there beginning this weekend, since the weather promises to be terrific, so feel free to stop by.

Yes, this is a good one.. was there last week! The local Ferrari club already knows and there has been much chatter about. I hope they have enough room cause this will probably grow.

Thx for posting..

Yes indeed, there has been some good turn out the last several Saturdays getting a head start as the weather is getting better.

Good to know there will be parking set aside as some of the non-car people are in a hurry to get in and out. Thanks for the info.

I did make it out to the Kars and Koffee event at Katie's in Great Falls this past Saturday morning. There were 30-40 cars there with some coming and going at peoples leisure. When I arrived there was a Shelby Cobra leaving. I saw at least a half dozen P-Cars including a Boxster or two, 997, my, 996, 993 with supercharger, 944, 911T and a 73 RS Clone. There were a number of Ferraris both old and new, at least two Austin- Healys, a 72 Pantera for sale BTW 45k ask, two Vettes one old and ragged and one really shinny with a lot of hp and a smatterig of other cars too. 7-9am every Sat am. Informal and casual. I would go back again as there is different stuff there each weekend.

Yeah, I've never been, but I'm sure they get a lot of variety. Saman gets all sorts of interesting stuff coming through his station, which is right there.
