Default Is your Boxster missing?

....as posted on Craigslist, Phila.

Wanted: True owner of the abandoned Porsche Boxster outside my house

Reply to: sale-401144050@craigslist.org
Date: 2007-08-19, 11:38PM EDT

Someone left a brand new black Porsche Boxster running outside my house with the top down about a week ago. After an hour, I took the keys out and left a note on the steering wheel that said, “If this is your car, come to (my address) and get the keys- I didn’t want the engine to die on you.” Well, it’s been a week and no one has shown up.

There’s nothing in the glovebox with anyone’s name on it, so if it is your car, just come get it. I don’t even care about the story behind it, I just want it out from in front of my house so that I can park my truck there.

Are boxsters so bad that people are abondoning them hoping someone will simply take them away. Wonder if it was someone who neede the insurance money and was hoping it would get stolen. Damn honest people!

talk about a perfect chixsterSPEC candidate. swing by w/ a towtruck, bring it into garage and get strippin'. month later emerge w/ a race car that will never get registered and/or 'found' if it lives on a track and trailer only...

This sounds a bit goofy.....
Are there tags on the car? If so, finding owner is easy enough.

Otherwise, see if a local P-car dealer can track via the VIN. If "new" enough, PCNA should be able to identify the owner or dealer.

Also why try to track down the owner yourself. Call the police, and let them haul it away. Unless...you actually do have interest on building a spec racer...

maybe he was just gonna run inside for a second but someone had other plans for him and he got iced. probably already dissolved in a tub of acid or carried out in suitcases. wouldn't hurt to check the freezers of everyone on the block though...
