As others have said, get a good lawyer. Expect to pay $750 - $1000 for a decent attorney for such an offense. I've had two reckless tickets in NOVA and have been *VERY* lucky with both - no jail, no suspended jail, and no restricted or suspended license!
1st was a 93 in a 55 in Fairfax Co. (Happened about six years ago in my 3 liter 914-6). I had a very good attorney. They dropped the speeding charge, I pled guilty to reckless, and paid just a $100 fine. That's it.
Last one was just last year

in Arlington, Co. in my 911. Got stopped doing 96 in a 40.

It was on the GW parkway just before the Key Bridge, very late at night. Very stupid thing to do, I admit. Had an excellent attorney and an inexperienced prosecutor - dropped the reckless charge (

!), pled guilty to simple speeding and paid a $1000 fine.
I know I won't get lucky a third time, plus it's just a stupid thing to do, so I'm taking my need for speed off the street and to the Auto-X and the DE's instead.
