If you need to replace the hood release cable, it might be a good idea to remove the hood release mechanism, clean it up and add some new grease. Some info on this thread on the 924 board; I added some pics to the end of the thread when I repaired mine. Of course the headlight motor is on the other side with a 924 turbo.
