performance (track-oriented) brake pads and fresh brake fluid would be the bare minimum for my happiness. if worn, new rotors would be a good idea at this time too.
-pads for 2 axles, approx. $200
-4 rotors, $500?
-brake fluid, $11

making sure the tires are healthy would be the next step.
after that, time and money will be your limiting factors, though if you haven't done this i wouldn't worry about seats, harnesses, fancy rearview mirrors, etc etc.
when it happens, you'll know that you're overdriving the car and then you can consider seats, suspension etc... just have a blast!
