Well I'm not retired yet but had to get started in what little free time I have had. Got the thing basically stripped down and on the rotisserie to start the process of scraping off the undercoating and prepping the tub for paint. A PITA process but I did this on the Mustang with good results. A little heat and the oscillating tool with the flexible scraper blade does a pretty good job. Just tedious and time consuming but that's the therapy I enjoy. Some pics of the progress.
Roll cage template has been fabbed up and ready to bend the actual tubing. Will have removable door bars so I can drive it around and not look like a contorsionist getting in and out of the thing. Rear sway bar mounts are all buggered up and will need replaced and I will be converting the front sway bar to thru the body style. Still not certain what front suspension system I will go with in order to get more adjustability and lowered stance than factory setup. Lots of options depending on how much I am willing to spend.
