Air-Cooled Rebuild
Gentlemen/Ladies:
Maybe I've been out of the game too long, but I saw on Pelican Parts where a Marine in NC did a rebuild on an '88 engine and "With shipping and supplied parts (new alternator, M&K exhaust) my total engine build was $38,206.00.".
1. Does this make sense?
2. Have I owned my car too long (since 1983)?
This type of nonsense ensures we're upside down and in a position that can never be recovered. I know, cars are NOT an investment, but Jesus Christ!
What I'm asking, is in your experience, is this number in the ballpark? If so, I'm going to sell and buy a CaymanS. Jeez.
