Don't know whether you're considering an induction stove, but we put one in and love it - much better than the old coil-style electric stove we had. OTOH, if you had gas, keep it.

Only downside is jettisoning any non-ferrous cookware (won't work with induction).

Also, we have a Bosch dishwasher - it's definitely quiet, but isn't quite as good at cleaning as the old-school 1980s GE it replaced. Also, for anyone else who might be looking at this thread for ideas: stay away from Samsung.
