So, I've scoured the standard sites and have found a couple leads but figured I'd make it official here: after MUCH deliberation, Anisa and I have decided on an '80s 911. For a little while it was a Cayman, then it was a 964/993, and now it's going way downmarket after the realization that we need to be acting like responsible human beings. I had hoped a 964/993 would be a bit more reasonably-priced.
Looking for a modestly-prepped DE/dual purpose car that ideally has some combination of the following:
- Roll bar
- Seats/harnesses
- Lowered and stiffened (plus sway bars) but not kidney-killing
- All rubber bits maintained/replaced
- Solid on preventive maintenance
- Engine/trans in good shape
- Intake valve
- SSIs and muffler
Obviously cars that are closer to stock are completely fine, but it would be nice to find something had had at least some of these components already addressed.
Would also be nice to have had a refresh/rebuild at some point, especially if high mileage.
Also, as laughable as it is, AC is a must-have.
This car will be my DD and Anisa's track car.
Any leads? Open to looking anywhere in the US.
