Admittedly this is from memory, and across a distance of over 5 years. However, Safelite had the option to get OEM glass, which I'm pretty sure was Sekurit on my car. I'd heard the same as you about knock-offs, and that this was very true of S2 Cab windshields (which apparently are different than stock '44s). When I checked after installation, it had the right marks (Sekurit) on it. Admittedly, things may have changed, but it might be worth a shot, especially if they'll let you bring your own parts.
