I agree--at the VIR Club Race DE last month there were not one, but two Daytona Prototype cars.
This past weekend I flagged the SCCA PDX on the Shenandoah and a novice showed up with a 1966 (continuation car) Ford GT40. Beautiful car and although it sounded very nice it was disappointing to see it so slow in my section (checker flag station). Being a right hand drive car with only small window ports I was wondering how he gave passing signals but my station was in a no passing zone for the novice group.
Also of interest last weekend was a fast and well driven Ford Fairmont with a V-8 engine and a stealthy Miata with a V-6 engine swap.
Another Scott,
