So many people look at cars as almost magical machines that are not made of parts but as something more. When you know enough you look at a car as a man made origami of sheet metal made of things bolted together. Nothing more or less than a toaster or washing machine, just bigger and a bit more fun at times. You end up seeing the parts and subsystems more than the car as a whole.
All things just want to return to a 0.0 state. Sand dislikes being piled up and at every opportunity each grain inexorably heads back towards level or 0.0 and so do machines. Only when you can release you mind from the thoughts of failure mechanical or otherwise can you drive well and meld with the car and track.
