Does not make sense to me or the builder; both motivated to understand what happened and why. Given the circulating metal bits, will need full disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning of the case, heat exchanger, etc.
Have a big trip to Canada scheduled for August, obviously very much at risk.
I have to look hard to find a positive, but if my proactive oil change revealed an otherwise unknown problem, then perhaps it saved a much more catastrophic result for me and others at The Glen.
