I'm still puzzled that the mechanical key won't unlock the door. Is the immobilizer on late model Porsche's supposed to work like that? I'm leaning towards someone doped the lock cylinder trying to get in.
Do you have AAA or Road Hazard coverage through your insurance or warranty. Some of those guys are pretty good about breaking into cars without the key. Without the correct tools, you could bugger up the car, gasket, etc. trying to do it yourself.
