So, I bought the car about 7 years ago. I had a decent service done at IMA at that time. Valve cover gasket, bearings and seals on the front of the motor, belts, water pump, timing belt, etc. were all replaced. The car might have 8k miles since then, and I've done the usual fuel filter, oil changes, and coolant. I have also done the motor mounts.
I started it up the other day after not running in since September or so. The expansion tank is brand new and the fluid in it looked like coffee. The oil dip stick was showing a nice light amber/maple syrup colored oil. Given the oil is over a year old I consider that ok. However there was some white shit also in the oil, so i've had it taken to Intersport.
The front cylinder injector was spitting fuel so I am going to have that addressed while it is at Intersport. I also am going to inquire about an oil sump baffle while the pan is off.
What else is worth looking at??
EDIT: I do not suspect a bad head gasket, i'm leaning toward the oil/coolant gasket being an issue. I've got enough in the car, and love owning it to throw some more into it.
