Assuming the NAs have an oil cooler mounted to the block like the turbos, change those seals. Much easier to do w/ the head off and header out of the way.
Heater control valve is somewhat behind the intake, so a good opportunity to replace (removing it also makes it easier to clean the grounds on the bell housing).
Rod bearings are a major job and no real labor savings doing it while replacing the head gasket. I probably wouldn't touch them unless you think they're compromised due to the oil contamination.
What symptoms did you see that makes you suspect the head gasket?
