I worked inside a fenced compound (RD&E) on Ft. Belvoir in the '80s. It had a ~12' fence all around it. Deer inside the compound were so tame you sometimes had to shoo them away from your car in the parking lot. I saw several clear the fence w/little difficulty if they thought the foliage on the other side looked greener. They had a different temperament in Oct/Nov though
