Year End Recap:

Car performed relatively well all year. Still struggled with brakes, ABS, and needed a new motor. Other than that, no real issues. Throughout year was in contention for nation points champion in H. With exception of the cars first sprint at Sebring were I finished 4th, won all other points races leading up to Summit Point. Did have A DNF in the Watkins Glen Enduro where I ran out of gas, and missed the 2 points races at Thunderbolt with what we thought was a bent strut. At Summit, won all 3 sprints, but got a 4th in the Enduro...had a 20 seconds overall lead, but because my competitors got the luck dog award by pitting during a double yellow, ended up 4th and losing by 50 seconds! Because of this, needed to go down to CMP and place 3rd or better to lock up the championship. Won the first sprint which qualified me first in the points race. But as I've found out, nothin' is easy in this sport. During pace lap of the points race I lose my ABS. Contemplated for about 10 milliseconds to head for the pits, but stayed out for the race. When ABS goes, it's not like driving a car that comes without ABS. Pedal becomes an On/Off switch. Give it about 1/8th-1/4 pressure and rear wheels lock up. Start comes, I survive, but have to let another H car in front of me for fear of wrecking. Move my brake points back by about 200-300ft, but am still locking up tires once or twice a lap. Am in a Battle with another H car, but let him by. I had been checking my rear view, and the other fast H Cayman was no longer visible, so figured, I'd cruise around in 3rd place (which is all I needed). Once I let him by, a red 964 popped up from behind him. He wasn't even in my radar, as I had never seen him before. But he was an H Car!! Had to battle him for 9 laps with barely any brakes for 3rd place. Made this the toughest and most demanding race of the year. I had to squeeze every MPH out of every corner, to make up for the lousy braking. In one turn I actually increased speed by about 3-4mph over when my brakes worked. Beat him by a second...phew. It was a very fitting end to the season. Car started with no brakes, and ended with no brakes, but managed to win the national points championship.

Thanks to all the guys at Intersport for the support

Looking forward to the 3 month break, so I can think about something besides racing.
