My kill switch is just above the battery (minimal extension of high-amp wiring), mounted on an OG Racing mount that made it very easy. I used bicycle brake cable and covering (so it won't get hung up when pulling it), made a loop in the end by crimping the wire to itself (put that loop through a bit of vinyl tubing so it won't hurt my finger or scratch the paint), and the loop sticks out of the front lid just in front of the driver's door. Someone had once suggested I needed access inside the car, too, but I have the key switch for that. (
